be exalted

Opening Prayer: Be exalted, O God, above the heavens; let your glory be over all the earth. (Psalm 57:5, 11)

     be exalted

whenever i begin

to think that this life

is all about me

be exalted o lord

whenever i forget

that i am only a small part

of your good creation

be exalted o lord

whenever i get

confused and consumed

by the worries of this world

be exalted o lord

whenever i start

spinning around in my own

needs and concerns 

be exalted o lord

and remind me

that this life

is not about me

but about you
