Take a few minutes to allow your heart and mind to be still before God
Opening Prayer:
i thank you God for most this amazing
day: for the
leaping greenly spirits of trees
and the blue true dream of a sky; and for everything
which is natural which is infinite which is yes…
(now the ears of my ears awake and
now the eyes of my eyes are opened)

Reflection:
Barefoot
by Rachel G. Hackenberg
May
I walk in this day
as
though with bare feet:
more
attuned to the hard earth and to
the
extravagance of my daily comforts,
more
inclined to splash playfully
in
puddles than to avoid them,
more
sensitive to the toe-stubbing-stones
that
we so casually toss into one others' paths,
slowed
down by necessity of caution
to
be more mindful of spirit and direction,
deliberately
risking the softening of calluses
to
sense more fully the mystery of holy ground.
Prayer: for the church, for others, for myself
Closing Prayer:
Our Father, help us to see
you today in all that we come into contact with, knowing that you use ordinary
things to give us an extraordinary sense of your presence in our lives. In the name of Jesus. Amen. (JLB)
