Come to Stillness: Take a few minutes to allow your mind and heart to
be still before God.
Opening Prayer: Take, Lord, and receive all that I am and
have. You’ve given it all to me; I give
it all back to you. Do with me as you
want. Just give me your love and your
grace and that’s enough.

Scripture Reading for the Day: Philippians 3:1-14
Reading for Reflection:
The very credentials
these people are waving around as something special, I’m tearing up and
throwing out with the trash—along with everything else I used to take credit
for. And why? Because of Christ. Yes, all the things I once thought were so
important are gone from my life. Compared to the high privilege of knowing
Christ Jesus as my Master, firsthand, everything I once thought I had going for
me is insignificant—dog dung. I’ve dumped it all in the trash so that I could
embrace Christ and be embraced by him. Philippians 3:7-9 (The Message)
Reflection and Listening: silent and written

Closing Prayer:
One thing I ask of the
Lord,
this is what I seek:
that I may dwell in the house of the Lord
all the days of my life,
to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord
and to seek him in his temple.
For in the day of trouble
he will keep me safe in his dwelling;
he will hide me in the shelter of his tabernacle
and set me high upon a rock.
